Anyway, it's always interesting to pick up a new hobby. And not that this is really a hobby, just something I enjoy doing when it needs to be done...
Are you ready for it?
I enjoy assembling furniture. Bookcases, desks, chairs, headboards, I've done them all! Last week I helped my cousin put together an entertainment center!
I'm pretty sure it is one of the most fun and rewarding things I do. Just take a second to ignore what you initially thought and hear my reasoning as to why this is such a cool thing to do.
1. It's like a giant, life-sized puzzle. I love puzzles, who doesn't love puzzles?
2. I actually MAKE something.
3. Challenge accepted. (Especially when they do not supply the right screws)
4. I feel pride when I have conquered the beast.
5. I feel independent (Even if it's a two-person job)
6. Although I did not actually make the pieces that fit together, and aside from paying for the furniture, I still feel a sense of ownership when I look at the piece.
Anything that makes you feel this great is a good thing! Best to hang on to it, so if you need a bookshelf put together, you know who to call!
