About two weeks ago I handed out seven resumes and applied to three jobs online. With nearly every store in the mall (very small mall), decorated with paraphernalia declaring assistance, one would think an interview or two would be in order.
Apparently these people aren't hurting as bad as they make it seem. I have experience. Lots of experience, especially in retail. I am a polite person, I take care of myself, I'm pretty much the best thing since sliced bread and NO ONE CALLED ME FOR AN INTERVIEW.
It seems as though I'm not only worrying about my lack of employment in my conscious life, but my subconscious life as well... Last night I dreamed that I was broke and was chatting with a friend. She suggested I open up a lemonade stand to make some money. I only charged the regular 25 cents per glass, but hey, 25 cents is 25 cents when you're broke. Actually it's still 25 cents no matter how you look at it, but it's a start!
